Current Statuses:

  • A National Icon: 57013. It’s been slow going for two weeks. I’ve had a lot of emotional crap to deal with, but I finished two chapters. Just got 2 chapters + epilogue left. I’m hoping to write 1000 words per day, and have it finished by end of month. I need all of the cheerleading as writing this at the moment is SO. EXHAUSTING. 
  • ANI Prequel: Ideas are forming…
  • ANI Deleted-Scenes: I have a bunch of ideas in this universe that don’t really help the plot but I think will be great mini things. 
  • Stucky AU BB: It hasn’t officially started but I want to have an idea should I sign up. Nothing so far. 
  • HTP: No progress. Bunch of ideas…
  • *OF: Taliah x Mathei: No progress; considering changing Taliah into a dude… still…. 
  • *OF: Derek x Gabriel: No progress

I guess I’m scared to start anything new until National Icon is complete. It’s SO CLOSE and if I finish it I won’t have guilt feels. I have started a word document with ALL THE IDEAS that I am collating so when I am bored and plotless, I can go “Gee, this weird idea looks REAL APPEALING right now”

But tbh, I’m fucking exhausted and I just want the words to write themselves please. 

Another thing I gotta realise is I don’t need a strong justification for everything I do.

Like, I wanna write a Bucky-getting-drowned-by-Steve kink thing. And I’m trying to come up with all this intense background and reasoning. And like, it’s GOOD. But sometimes I can just write porn for the sake of porn, ya feel?

So. I am le struggling with adding the D/s to A National Icon. Because like, it’s THERE but I am a super HIGH PROTOCOL person and so writing D/s from a non-High Protocol way is really hard and challenging to me, and I THINK I’m getting the D/s in there but it’s just so so so hard to tell. UGH. 

Writing Updates

I was inspired by Dira Sudis’ Week in Writing posts. 

And given that I am trying to keep myself accountable… And keep up the writing… I thought making a little post each week would be good. Not for anyone else, but for myself. To keep track, but also like, help me recognise when things are good.

  • A National Icon: 40165 – Finished 5 chapters now; posted one chapter; recognised a few Major plot points which has made me reframe things. It’s definitely gonna be longer than 50k, given that I’m at 40k and still have 6 chapters + epilogue to write. Maybe even more than 6 chapters. OOPS. 46115. Nearly done with chapter 6, but there were FEELINGS and SEXY THINGS and I couldn’t stop. 
  • HTP Fill: Started it for the FOURTH time. Cried internally because it’s NOT WORKING HOW I WANT IT TOO
  • Gifted AU: No progress, not even an outline
  • Single Dad!Bucky AU: No progress, still not outline
  • *OF: Taliah x Mathei: No progress; considering changing Taliah into a dude… OOPS
  • *OF: Derek x Gabriel: No progress
  • ANI Prequel: Developed idea, no outline or progress, just the idea formed
  • 2 4 x HTP fills: ideas forming, nothing solid
