I’m a 23 year old Trans Guy currently living with my parents. Last September, I came out to my family, and the results have…not gone as planned.
My father, who has a bitter and deep set loathing for the LGBT community, is kicking me out in September, with only a few hundred in savings and whatever I can pack. Currently, I’m not allowed to identify as Trans at home, and every day is a struggle to minimize contact with him and his caustic attitude. I feel afraid every minute we are alone together, knowing that he hates what I am, and any mention of my Trans status is met with hours of verbal abuse. Currently, I can’t even book a GP appointment, or see my doctor, without fearing that he will kick me out without warning.
He’s promised me that as soon as I leave, I will never see him again, and that contact with the rest of my family will be minimal. In addition, he will disown me, and any possessions that I can’t take with me will be thrown out, as I will not be considered his child any longer.
Due to my poor mental health, and being a full time masters student, I am asking you all to please help me raise some money by September for a deposit, and to start fresh where I know I won’t have to suffer this any longer.

Update!! We are at £373 and I am overwhelmed with the amount of support I have received so far both through donations and people reaching out with kind words and thoughts. Truly, you guys are the best, and this has helped to minimize my financial worries about moving out.
